Be A Light Unto The World

” Let Your Light Shine”
At New Day Christian Centre, we ask you to take the first giant step of spiritual growth by coming to worship with us in our weekly services. Worship should become a way of approaching life in our daily activities and allowing God to work through us.
A personal relationship with God will give you the ability to influence others with His light shining through you. With this personal relationship, worship will have a new meaning that goes beyond what is comfortable, but allows you to meet challenges with an open heart and mind.
Not everyone can see the goodness within themselves. We seem to doubt ourselves with our personal relationships, business dealings and just everyday life. When you finally allow God into your heart to form the personal relationship that He so wants, you will be able to see the goodness within yourself. Loving yourself first is the only way you can love others. By accepting your flaws, you will learn that you can accept other people’s flaws so much better. Once you accomplish loving and accepting yourself, a calmness and light will be ignited in your heart. This peace and light will allow you to respond rather than react to situations and to understand your loving nature. You will be able to put aside your anger, selfishness, envious ways, and become the person God intended you to be. By doing all these things, you will allow God to work through you. You cannot shine on your own. You have to be closely in tune with God and by doing so, a brilliant light will show others your good deeds and ways.
Life is a beautiful gift that God has given you. He wants you to believe in yourself, and most of all believe in Him. This life is what you make of it, and God has given you the tools to climb every mountain to the highest peak. All of this is possible if we worship and have a personal relationship with God. Let your light from God shine on all those you meet.
(Matthew 5:14-16) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds, and glorify your Father in heaven.”
